Is your gym & fitness brand working? An 8-point self-check

Eight yes-or-no questions that show whether your fitness brand is clear, consistent and trusted—plus what to fix first when the answer is no.

A brand is not the logo. It is whether a new customer understands you, can reach you easily and trusts what they find. Answer each question honestly—“partly” counts as no.

The five universal checks

  1. A new visitor can tell within five seconds what you offer and who it is for.
  1. Your name, contact details, hours and services match on your website, Google profile and social pages.
  1. Every enquiry—call, WhatsApp or form—has a named owner and gets a reply the same working day.
  1. You know how many enquiries became customers last month.
  1. You ask every customer for honest feedback the same way and reply to reviews.

Three checks specific to fitness

  1. Transformation stories are real, consented and never promise specific results.
  1. A trial visitor is followed up personally within 48 hours.
  1. Membership prices, renewals and cancellation are explained plainly.

What to fix first

  • Mostly “no” on the first two: start with brand clarity. Connect content to a clear, realistic trial path.
  • “No” on enquiries and follow-up: fix the customer journey. Simplify the offer and programme-fit information.
  • “No” on feedback and trust: start with information accuracy and a response process. Build useful onboarding and retention communication.
